Dot's Apple Cake


  • 1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
  • 3 cups flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1-2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp allspice
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 3 cups chopped apples
Beat all ingredients together until well blended except the pecans and chopped apples.

Fold in pecans and apples.

Pour into a greased and floured tube/bundt pan and bake at 325 degrees for one hour.

Topping
  • 1 stick of butter, melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup evaporated milk 

Bring to a rolling boil

Add 1 tsp vanilla

Cool and pour over cake
